As we completed our first in-person MSN weekend session at OUAZ, I wanted to share my experience. I will try to keep it short, regardless of how much I want to say. As a student from the NY/CT area, I had the option to choose from a few other day 1 CPT schools, but I opted to stay with Ottawa. I appreciate the thoroughness of the application process and the school's impeccable reputation.
The three-day weekend at the Surprise, AZ campus proved that I made the right choice. I hope you realize the incredible impact you have on the lives of international students by establishing and running such programs. Even though I am speaking for myself, I genuinely believe that most, if not all, students from my cohort will agree with me. Everybody connected and became friends almost instantly, and we all understood each other without even needing to complete a sentence. Unfortunately, we have language and terms that only we know, and sometimes it's exhausting trying to explain and delve into the details of specific topics. The past weekend felt like a retreat, where we all put aside the hardships of our lives and enjoyed each other's company while pursuing our advanced degrees.
Professors were incredibly supportive, knowledgeable, and kind. Everyone was able to interact and share their professional experiences, bringing nursing examples that made the learning process more interactive. Despite long hours, I never looked at my watch to check the time. Before we even started the class, I already knew everyone's names, which I had never done in my previous schools, even after two years in the program.
And to add a bonus, the cafeteria staff was remarkable!
I wanted to thank you and share that positive experience, because often in life, as humans, we spend a lot of time giving only negative feedback.
I am adding some photos of us building new memories outside of class.
Thank you :)
